FIDE Candidates 2024 signed chess set
This chess set was signed by all the participants of FIDE Candidates 2024 in Toronto.
This is the Home edition of the World Chess Championship Set featuring Bauhaus Board. It is designed by Pentagram for World Chess. The iconic official Championship Set design remains intact but the size of the set is adapted for home and club use. King’s size is 3 inches, and the overall size of the set is 20% smaller than the Championship Set. Pieces for this set are handmade from boxwood by expert craftsmen.
The design of the board is inspired by the Bauhaus tradition. It does not have a full-size border, making it very precise and geometric. The color of the board is striking: deep dark shades complement the pieces. This board design has been introduced by World Chess in 2022. It was manufactured from high-quality MDF and walnut. The classic World Chess hexagon is silk-printed on both sides.
